My Story

I was born a writer.

I hear voices too. I don't admit that to many
people or they'd think I was NUTS! But I can't
even remember a time when I wasn't listening
to the whispers of my characters telling me
their stories. What else could I do but put them down on paper?
Otherwise, how would we find out how they lived --or how they
died for that matter?

I blame my summers with Nancy Drew for all this. Besides my Dad,
Nancy was my ultimate hero growing up in the small beach town of
Point Pleasant, NJ. When Nancy, Bess, and George got together for
the latest adventure, I stayed with them until it was solved---even
if it took the whole morning on my beach towel.  How could I leave
them if Nancy was caught in someplace dangerous like the Bell
Tower?  They needed me! It was a hard decision, but sometimes
Laura Ingalls Wilder would just have to wait for me until the
afternoon to go fishing on the banks of Plum Creek.

Since those days, I graduated from college with a degree in
Literature and French and grew a career as a technical writer. Soon
though, I realized my stories couldn't wait any longer. So here I am,
writing books that I hope you will love to read on
your beach towel
or wherever you like to be swept away!
